Link reblogged from Steve/Tony Fic Recs with 5 notes
Rating: Teen and Up
Length: Complete at 10 chapters, 36277 words
Other pairings: Clint/Coulson, Pepper/Peter
Author’s summary: Eighteen-year-old Tony Stark is the boy genius who woke Captain America, and now he’s stuck with him. That’s not a bad thing, but between Steve’s wide-eyed wonder at the new world and Tony’s little fanboy crush, the awkwardness just keeps happening.
Author’s note: This is set in the Armored Adventures cartoon universe, where Tony lost his father and became Iron Man at sixteen instead of in his thirties; in Armored Adventures, Tony has seen Steve in stasis in a glass case, but they haven’t been able to wake him.
It’s crossed over with the Ulitmate Spider-man cartoon universe, where Peter Parker is in superhero training with Agent Coulson, though I’ve jiggered the timeline a little (Cap’s awake and Tony’s an adult in Peter’s ‘verse, so I’ve ignored that).
Why you should read it: SO CHARMING! Seriously, this story is an absolute delight to read. There’s a kind of youthful joy to it that’s totally appropriate to the universe it’s set in and that I find refreshing and wonderful. Steve and Tony get along from the beginning, but I can buy it in this world, along with Steve’s wonder and lack of too-apparent gloom. (There are hints of it, but he’s not MCU Steve, and that’s honestly really lovely and makes my heart happy.) This isn’t to say the fic doesn’t have its sad moments, because it definitely does, but if you are looking for an angst parade, this is not the fic for you. If you’re looking for a fun, exuberant ride, though, I highly suggest you take a look. I absolutely loved it.

I saw a truck today that said “Frost’s Iron Supplies” (there were other words but they weren’t important), and I screamed I SHIP THAT at the top of my lungs.
What has Avengers done to me.
I used to be sane.
I know the feeling. I have work in an hour. I think I might be late, aha.

So there really is no excusing the poor writing that left a solid explanation for the OM-1 out of the finale, but I come to you with a theory on why both Rylander and Van Kleiss refer to this one, tiny, seemingly irrelevant nanite as ‘Everything.’
For, you see, perhaps it really is everything.
